New York State | Applications open October 1 - October 19, 2026
Summary
We’re inviting NYC- and NYS-based community organizations to partner with Superbloom Design and Helpful Places on a bilingual (English/Spanish) community-led workshop series exploring how AI shows up in civic life and what transparency and accountability should look like in practice.
We’re looking to collaborate with at least 3 organizations in NYC and 1 organization in Upstate New York to run the bilingual workshops/co-design sessions from October 2026 to March 2027. The workshops will serve as a space for participants to share lived experiences and priorities, increasing their confidence and agency, while directly contributing to a policy framework. Partner organizations and workshop participants will help co-create a Civic Feedback Framework for AI Transparency that informs the next version of open standards for AI governance.
Each partner organization will organize and host 2 sessions, recruit participants, and provide bilingual co-facilitation, to ensure the work is accessible, community-led, and grounded in trust and local relationships.
This project is supported by the LUCHA Equity Fund, an initiative from New York State that is powered by Hispanic Federation.
